THE REAL OBI-WAN KENOBI

This week’s blog is a tribute to my father H.D. Obi who served in the U.S. Army during World War I. He truly depicts the –Greatest Generation” of Americans almost a century ago. After WW I, my father became the first Obi in Jacksonville and perhaps the first in the U.S. His legacy includes six sons who also served in the military.
Much later in 2011, Plastic Surgery Practice magazine, assigned me the name –Aesthetic Warrior”. We live in a country of warriors and I am proud to be part of that legacy. The much later introduction of Star Wars character Obi-Wan Kenobi depicted warriors of a new era who became enormously popular in modern culture.
