As we approach the holiday season, most of my patients are seeking procedures with either no down time or at the most, one to three days. During my military days in the Marine Corps and U.S. Navy, both of my active duty commitments were followed by military reserve time. The term –Weekend Warriors” was a result of that activity. As a plastic surgeon, I am loosely using that term for cosmetic procedures that usually require a recovery period anywhere from a lunch break to a long weekend.
