At Obi Plastic Surgery, we offer various cosmetic treatments and procedures to meet the goals of our patients. These procedures include the administration of Botox injections and Juvéderm fillers. With the endorsement of Dr. Lewis J Obi, the Obi Plastic Surgery Clinic has welcomed the skilled and artistic hands of Nurse Practitioner, Amy Boyd. Here is what we learned when we sat down with her last Thursday:
After earning her Master of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Florida, Amy Boyd became certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Since then, she has practiced nursing in the state of Florida for the past 22 years one, of which she has been at Obi Plastic Surgery Clinic.
When asked why she was inspired to perform cosmetic therapy, she replied:
“I enjoy helping women feel beautiful and confident through the use of Juvéderm fillers and Botox. It is rewarding to listen to a client’s concerns and then address those concerns successfully with minimally invasive techniques. I love the artistry involved in creating an individualized treatment plan and tailoring each injection session to the client.”
Furthermore, Boyd had a few reasons why beginning Juvéderm and Botox treatment in the 20’s may be beneficial.
“Botox and fillers are not only effective for people in their 40’s and older. They can also be used as part of an anti-aging regimen to help prevent deep lines, wrinkles, sagging, and loss of volume.”
Boyd went on to explain that as we age, we develop lines on the forehead and around the eyes, folds around the nose and mouth, and lose volume in our cheeks and lips. “Juvéderm products work wonderfully to minimize these signs of aging with little to no downtime.”
When providing these treatments, her favorite part is handing the mirror to her client so that they can see the immediate results in the office.
Besides caring for her patients, Amy Boyd loves caring for her family by enjoying the outdoors with her husband and three children.
