Non-Surgical Laser & Stem Cell Fat Facelift

The "OPERA LIFT" as developed by Dr. Lewis Obi working in collaboration with Palomar Medical Technology Inc. conceived of this concept during his ASPS presentation in Denver September 25, 2011. The title of his talk was “The New Facelift in the New Economy: Combining modalities to optimize results”. The combination of Palomar's SlimLipo laser platform and the Adivive fat processing unit has allowed the plastic surgeon to perform a total rejuvenation of the face and neck without invasive surgery. The result of this new innovation has minimized cost and down time for the patient. This approach is more appealing to patients in our current economic environment.Recently, Dr. Obi has also integrated the use of PRP (Plasma Rich Platelets-Arteriocyte Magellan™) with the Adivive stem cell rich fat to enhance results. It is also of significance that Dr. Lewis Obi has perhaps the most comprehensive clinical experience in combining these two modalities. In 2011 alone, Dr. Obi delivered presentations at six major advanced aesthetic symposia with similar participation in 2012. In July of 2012, Dr. Lewis Obi was elected as an affiliate member of the CaliforniaStem Cell Treatment Center, Los Angeles.

OPERA Lift Major Patients

OPERA LIFT MINOR is a procedure that is performed with preoperative sedation (Valium/Percocet) and local anesthesia only. Neck tightening is achieved with SlimLipo while 3-D facial tightening “Spacelift” is accomplished with the Adivive stem cellconcentrated fat grafting system. With smaller volume (under 40 cc) Opera Lift Minor procedures, most patients may return to work within 3 to 5 days. Long term benefits from these minimally invasive procedures may be anticipated and the total cost is usually under $5000.

OPERA LIFT MAJOR provides a larger volume (40 to 80 cc) of Adivive Stem Cell Fat grafting to the face and includes SlimLipo of the neck. Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) from the patients blood is added to enhance the Adivive fat graft and to reduce bruising. The LJO brow lift may be added and is a minimally invasive 10 minute procedure. These patients do require intravenous nurse sedation and a downtime of 7 to 10 days. The total combination of all of these treatment modalities provides the patient with more significant brow, mid face and neck rejuvenation. The total cost to the patient is still significantly less than traditional surgical face and neck lifting procedures. For the patient electing to have a more traditional surgical face and neck lift, Dr. Obi has effectively integrated Adivive fat grafting, PRP enhancement and the LJO brow lift for a more natural and successful result. Whether the patient elects to have an Opera Lift Minor, Major, total surgical face lift, it is important that these procedures be performed with artistry thereby avoiding a distorted (face-lifted) appearance. It is Dr. Lewis Obi’s opinion that “less is more” and an older graceful appearance is preferred over a surgically distorted face that is pervasive in the media.
