The "OPERA LIFT" as developed by Dr. Lewis Obi working in collaboration with Palomar Medical Technology Inc. conceived of this concept during his ASPS presentation in Denver September 25, 2011. The title of his talk was “The New Facelift in the New Economy: Combining modalities to optimize results”. The combination of Palomar's Slim Lipo laser platform and the Adivive fat processing unit has allowed the plastic surgeon to perform a total rejuvenation of the face and neck without invasive surgery. The result of this new innovation has minimized cost and down time for the patient. This approach is more appealing to patients in our current economic environment.

The OPERA Lift is a totally new approach brought about by Palomar's innovations combined with Dr. Lewis Obi's extensive experience in the area of Aesthetic plastic surgery. It is also of significance that Dr. Obi has worked extensively with both the SlimLipo (LifeSculpt) and Adivive systems. In 2011 alone, Dr. Obi has and will deliver a total or seven presentations on these technologies.

Basically, the Opera Lift is a procedure that is performed with preoperative sedation (Valium/Percocet) and local anesthesia. Neck tightening is achieved with SlimLipo while 3-D facial tightening “Spacelift” is accomplished with the Adivive stem cell concentrated fat grafting. The LJO browlift (minimally invasive) may be performed at the same time. Most patients may return to work within 3 to 5 days. OPERA LIFT MAJOR: Large volume Adivive Stem Cell Fat grafting to face; requires intravenous nurse sedation; downtime 7 to 10 days. Includes SlimLipo neck tightening and Botox to forehead and smile lines (if needed).

OPERA LIFT MINOR: Pre-Op Valium and Percocet plue local anesthesia. SlimLipo Neck + 35cc Adivive-mini to Face,naso-labial and marionette creases, lips, malars and tear troughs. Botox forehead and smile lines (if needed). Average of three days downtime.
