The last week in April 2011 marked the Samuel Wells Surgicenter's successful 21st annual inspection by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA). The Samuel Wells Surgicenter by Dr. Lewis Obi was the first licensed and comprehensive plastic surgery center in the state of Florida and it continues to provide quality care in a safe environment. Because the Samuel Wells Surgicenter is a licensed center, compared to an accredited center, it must maintain a higher level of staffing and physical plant requirements.

The Samuel Wells Surgicenter is a fully licensed Ambulatory Surgery Center in Jacksonville, Florida. This licensure, the highest standard of patient care and safety for outpatient surgery, is reviewed and maintained annually by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA).
Our caring and dedicated plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery staff includes registered nurses with advanced cardiac life support certification, scrub technicians, medical assistants and administrative personnel. The entire plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery team maintains a high-level of proficiency through seminars, instructional courses and continuing medical education programs. There are suitable lodging facilities in close proximity to the clinic where these patients can receive total care including meals and transportation.
